80% doesn't sound so much crazy high to me
but don't know so much about others products yield, so I can't compare

You could do SKU with just 8 core differentiating only frequency and price, Not to mention that they will not have difficulty selecting the best CPUs for ThreadRipper and EPYC
it's a great goal

do you know about others yield so we can compare?
They'll be probably very high yield value those of Zen... I was just arguing about those crazy high

we're talking about a 24 core, 456mm^2 die versus a 8 core 195mm^2 die...
and because yield is inversely proportional to die size, bigger die size would lead to lower yields... And here, die sizes of intel chips are more than double those of AMD! Plus (simple math, this doesn't consider a lot), to reach the same amount of cores AMD would have 0,8%*0,8%*0,8%*0,8% = 0,41% yields for those configurations... So, bigger advantage for Intel, if we see things that way

Nope, because Naples 32 cores yield is still +80%.

that's big time for AMD.
